This was painted after a visit to Lake Michigan not too far from my home on a sunny December day that was incredibly windy. The waves were monsters! The snowy path was so inviting but the bitter cold winds allowed me just a couple of reference photos and then quickly ran back to the car! 140# cp, Holbein pigments. available.
