I painted this on day 74 straight without sunlight. I was so taken with this scene in the mountains near San Bernadino that I pulled off to take a reference photo of the sunlight streaming through this odd hole in the tree formation on the side of the mountain. That a tree or anything green could grow there was a surprise to me. I have enjoyed my study of this passage way through the mountains to Big Bear Lake in Southern California. I have one more painting I want to do from this excursion. Holbein Pigments on 200# waterford saunders.
