This is the full scale painting of the grapes that were posted yesterday. It is awesome to be able to sell crop outs of larger paintings as prints. But this is the whole painting and I hope you like it as much as I do. God is so good to bless the hand that renders.

I like the soft outer edges!

I agree Carol. I glazed the whole sheet, but the highlights rread as white, when all was said and done, just more like candle light that brilliant white. :)

I jsut love this work along with many of your others. I feel I just want to pick one of those plump juicy grapes and eat it. I can taste the burst of juices already :D. The under wash is a great idea as sometimes the white paper is just a little too harsh. Thanks for sharing

Sandra, This is so lovely it brings tears of joy to my weary eyes. You are so innovative and talented. I am glad you told us about staining the paper first. Thanks for the hint. (Not that I could ever come close to painting with watercolors as well as you...)

This was a commissioned piece and I had a blast doing it. I tried something I had not done before. I stained the white paper first with a soft yellow wash, let it dry for twenty four hours and then did the painting. My whites are not white at all but they are less harsh when showing through the fruit and leaves. It was really fun.
