I really like this one! I definately see your focal point. It is the second set of cherries at top left. I see a stronger contrast there. The cherries are a beautiful color. And I always say it but I love your greens. Very tender. I enjoy your soft technique. This one will make a great pair with your grapes painting "Under the Arbor". What a wonderful series for a dining room or kitchen area. Fanastic! I love it!

Thanks Lisa, I appreciate your thoughtful review. You are such an encouragement to me.

Glad for your feedback on this one. I was struggling with the composition because there didn't seem to be a "focal point". So I decided to add some darker values around the cherries that did not have the light blue sky behind them. That made the eye rest on the ones with the sky backlighting them. I really like this one but there was a moment in time that I had my doubts.

Really, really nice! Love the spatters you used to give it texture.....isn't just amazing what just that one little technique can do?

I did this first in pastel looking forward to coming back and trying it in watercolor which is my favorite medium. I love how you can take the same basic composition and it looks completely different depending on the materials used.
