Thanks Carolyn, I prayed hard over this rendering before I approached it. I tried and tried to draw the soldier and finally gave up, erased most of it. Squinted at the photo that John provided for me and tried to just capture the important shadow shapes. But as in alot of my work, I try to let go and let God move the brush through me and I think He did a great job on this one. I really appreciate your comments. Blessings, Sandy

A tremendous amount of emotion in what seems to be a simple painting. Love the sketchy look and feel of this; and the energy created by the blowing sands. Conveys the unknowns of war and the fear that surrounds every move. Congrats!

Fantastic image.. Very well done.

This one is outstanding!!! It conveys enough info to tell a story yet leaves enough areas vague for the viewer to read their own story. I like the air or dust all around. Feels like the dry desert. STRONG focal point and atmosphere. Gosh, I could go on and on..... LOVE IT. You could do more in this style, a series.
