Description
On November 1st I was out at daybreak shooting photos of the wetlands just two miles from my house. I was blessed to see a flock of geese lifting off and heading to the south east. It was stunning and beautiful. It was cathartic to be there, a silent witness to the early morning flight. I am so thankful that the school district worked hard to develope this wetlands. It is a gift to the whole community. Holbein and Daniel Smith Pigment, Waterford Saunders 200# CP. Original price includes acid free mat. Artist retains image rights.

This painting if like being there when the ducks take off - wonderful capture of the light and nature

Thank you Marsha. I tried so hard to get them to look believable without overpainting them. Thought long and hard about this one...even had to ask Lisa Pope about some composition issues...I was worried about the birds flying out of the painting and she had some great tips. I love our art community!

After looking at this again, I totally agree with Lisa Pope....the birds definitely do look 3-D, but in no way do they look pasted on. What a fabulous piece of art this is!

Lisa, you are very generous with your comment. Do you think the birds look cut and paste? I was so trying to get them to be there but not there at the same time....
Lisa Pope
What a fanastic painting! I love how this one turned out!!! You work is so professional! Those birds appear 3D. The water reflections are just beautiful. So great!
